I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Governmental Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017, where I received high honors from the Dean’s Office and was awarded for academic excellence by the Department of French & Italian. In spring of my senior year, I interned with the Texas Civil Rights Project, where I had the privilege of speaking with hundreds of potential clients and relating their stories to the legal staff. Before college, I interned with Texas State Representative Elliott Naishtat who inspired me to pursue legal work as a profession.
Since graduation, I’ve begun volunteering on a weekly basis at the Austin Harm Reduction Coalition as an urban outreach worker. Giving back to the community is extremely important to me, and I take great pleasure doing that with the Coalition. When I’m not volunteering or at work, I’m likely spending time with my wonderful girlfriend at our comfy, little apartment in southwest Austin.
Legal work is important to me for one simple reason: I like to help people. Whether a client is grieving the passing of a loved one, building an estate, or anything in between, I feel passionately about providing outstanding service so that the client knows they’re in good hands and receiving high quality care. Both Pam and Jayne feel the same way, and that’s why I’m so proud to be a part of this team. In a few years, I plan on attending law school to become an attorney myself. Until then, I greatly look forward to serving the clients here at Hailey-Petty Law Firm.
